Trauma Informed Songwriting Teacher

Song Rise Arts is an Austin based nonprofit that provides trauma-informed spaces for women veterans and transition age youth (14-26) to find healing, empowerment, opportunity and community through songwriting and performance.

Many of our students have experienced public systems like foster care and CPS. We offer songwriting classes, mentorship, one-on-one lessons, access to industry professionals, recording experience, performance opportunities and barrier-eliminating support such as stipends and transportation to foster equity, improve well-being and lift outcomes for all.

We are looking for a songwriting teacher with a passion for using songwriting to build a more equitable world and to help us deliver professional-level curriculum and experiences to our students. We hold space for our students to step into their gifts despite barriers. You will help them turn their pain into something extraordinary.
